Prof De-Ming Yang

Dr. De-Ming Yang is an Associate Principal Investigator in Department of medical research, Taipei Veterans General Hospital (2005 - present) and also Adjacent Associate Professor in the Institute of Biophotonics, National Yang-Ming University (2011 - present). He earned his Ph.D. in Life Science with Lung-Sen Kao at the National Defense Medical Center in 2000 and undertook postdoctoral research at Taipei Veterans General Hospital. His research is focused on physiological role of Zn2+ using various of ion biosensors and the development of genetically encoded Pb2+ indicators for toxicological applications. He also contributed to unique biophotonics for advanced research such as fluorescent lifetime imaging and in vivo lead biosensing on Drosophila brain.
